Customize how Promake looks with theme settings. Choose between light mode, dark mode, or let the system decide.

Theme Options

Promake offers three theme modes:

Light Mode

Bright interface with:

• White/light backgrounds
• Dark text
• Best for well-lit environments
• Classic, professional look

Dark Mode

Dark interface with:

• Dark/black backgrounds
• Light text
• Easier on eyes in low light
• Modern, sleek look
• Reduces eye strain at night

System Mode

Automatically matches your device:

• Uses your OS preference
• Switches automatically
• Light during day, dark at night (if OS supports)

Changing Your Theme

Step 1: Access Settings

1. Click your profile icon
2. Select Settings
3. Go to the Appearance tab

Step 2: Select Theme

Click on your preferred theme:

• Light
• Dark
• System

Step 3: Applied Instantly

The theme changes immediately. No need to save or refresh.

Quick Theme Toggle

You might also find a quick theme toggle:

• In the header/navigation
• As a sun/moon icon
• Click to switch between light/dark

Theme Recommendations

Use Light Mode When:

• Working in bright environments
• Outdoor or well-lit office
• Reading lots of text
• Matching corporate standards

Use Dark Mode When:

• Working at night
• In dim environments
• Reducing eye strain
• Saving battery (OLED screens)

Use System Mode When:

• You want automatic switching
• Your OS already manages themes
• You work different times of day

Accessibility Considerations

Visual Comfort

• Dark mode can reduce eye strain
• Some people find light mode easier to read
• Try both to see what works for you

Contrast

Both themes are designed with:

• Sufficient color contrast
• Readable text
• Clear visual hierarchy

Preview vs. Published Site

Your published website:

• Has its own color scheme
• Is not affected by your Promake theme
• Is controlled by your website's design

Troubleshooting

Theme Not Changing?

1. Refresh the page
2. Clear browser cache
3. Try a different browser
4. Check browser extensions

System Mode Not Working?

1. Check your OS theme settings
2. Some browsers don't support system theme detection
3. Try manually selecting light or dark

Colors Look Wrong?

1. Check monitor color settings
2. Try a different browser
3. Clear cache and refresh
4. Report to support if persistent
